my space

Deep down inside was where I would hide,
No one to talk to, no one to confide.
I would hide there for hours even days,
It all depended on what had come my way.

The beatings became routine, which made them worse,
They tried to get me to cry, I'd rather leave in a hearse.
I just went to my space, and there is where I would cry,
To show them that weakness, I might as well die.

The most revolting, the lying two-faced priest,
He was the one, the most hideous beast.
When I would see him I would violently shake,
I would feel like I was drowning deep in a lake.

The only place that I felt that I was safe at all,
A very small space inside my head, no one would call.
For days I might stay in there, for as long as it took,
My space inside of hell, I just layed there and shook.

As a child, there was an amazing amount of strength. Do you realize that your poem displays this?

This is such a horrible sad tale and my eye's are crying as i write.. Why did this happen to you my sweet love.I wish i could have that freak priest and do what should of been did'to him make him suffer and beg for his life' like you begged for yours from him'he should of died the most horrible death even though t he's already dead' that was too easy of a death for that slimy rodent. .I'm so sorry you have had all this pain in your soul and in your mind ' no human should have to endure what happened to you' ..I will always be here for you as no one was there for you long ago.. hmmm..... i honestly don't know what to say... the way you write is amazing but the context is depressing. My words are taken by yours. Your dark poetry solidifies me and i can't seem to think. You are very into using details to describe your horrible childhood. The way your words form together is... hmm.. wow. You amaze me every time.

Honestly. I loved it and it makes me sad to know you've been through so much

but you have a gift or words

:) SMILE!

thats horrible, what he did to you... and yeah we all have that space in our heads.. a place of sudden safety.. i've always have mine,, i just didn't always use it. Now i do, when im not sure i need it, i have two sides of me though.. the weak and the strong.. thats what i go off now... Great poem by the way.. a little suttle but its great.

Sometimes all we can do is find that safe place within ourselves - a fortress against the world and all it's evils. reminds me of an evanescence song- In my field of paper flowers with candy clouds of lullaby, I LIE INSIDE MYSELF FOR HOURS, and watch my purple sky fly over me.

Very very sad. I like how you made the poem. Is this what you did? I am starting to cry.
