I had planned to home birth my youngest daughter but she instead decided to be born in the car. Oh what fun that was.
Trans Ams aren't made to be roomy either.

Nope... but the 2 first ones almost got delivered in the car... With the oldest, we ran out of gas at a traffic light, halfway to the hospital, past midnight! While we were trying to get some some help... the water bag broke... he, he...hard to believe we made it to the hospital and had a squatting birth. The second would have been born in the car if the hospital was any further as the water bag broke when we were getting there and I had to hold him back as the nurses flew me through the hall on a stretcher ... #3 was also born in squatting position with over 4 kilos, umbilical cord all wrapped up around neck so it was good it wasn't at home and 4th was nicely delivered by a midwife but at the hospital.
Now I was born at home and my 5 siblings too...bless my mom...

I never have. John was born in the hospital... But then again, I also was only 15... Didn't really have options like that... Lol.
But I watched this thing on TLC about a lady that had a home birth; her son helped out with the birthing process. It was actually sort of cool. He wasn't freaked out or anything. He was a well prepared little kid. But I don't know if I would be willing to let my child see the actual process quite that young.... Then again, I suppose it does count for how grounded and mature the child is. Haha... I don't know.

I would have loved to have a water birth (not done in Egypt) or my second choice would have been epidural, my daughter delivered directly into my arms, the birth videotaped. What I got was a scheduled C section ... a bit hard to do at home lol! I was knocked out immediately by the anesthetic and didn't wake up except later ... I was the last one to see my daughter! :(

Oh HELL NO! Can you say 36 hours of back labor? "Umm...pardon me, nurse, but I WANT AN EPIDURAL RIGHT NOW!!!" Oh sorry, didnt mean to yell...lol I was born in a 69 GTO on the way to the hospital, the dr delivered my head in the ER and oddly enough, he was the same dr 14 yrs later that took care of my brother when he had a gun accident and shot his fingers off. He kept looking at my mom and then my dad and me, but my parents knew who he was from the get go. He finally said to them, "I'm sorry, but have I taken care of you before? I feel like I know you...." YEP! After the "you delivered her head in the ER and it only costs us a 1/5 of gin story" the dr said if he had only known I would turn out so darn cute, he would have kept me for himself.

I did consider home birth but I had so many complications during my pregnancies, I felt better having them in the hospital. Good for you.

I don't think so, but I'll check with the kitchen.
(My wife gave birth in a hospital. He was too big, and she had to have a c-section).
