Well my husband was told last year that because of the devorce him and his ex wife had that if he were to win the lottery or come into money in some way then yes she could apply for half of it. Something to do with whatever is written in the devorce papers or something, that came from his solicitor who pointed it out to him so best bet is to go to a lawer and find out from them.

Anybody can try to sue anyone else for anything. This is one of the reasons tort reform is such a big issue.
You best bet is to always seek legal advise from your own attorney. Seeking legal advise on Y! answers is not a good idea.

Anyone can sue anyone for anything but it doesn't mean they will win. If is for child support and there is a change in income she can ask for an adjustment.

lol..no..go and get a copy of your papers..on it there should be something that say it along that line.. it is to protect both parties just in case the win the lottery or something...I know i got in on mine..
