Hi, I offer this advice as a gynaecology nurse of many years standing. Although your urine test was clear it sounds as though you may still have some cystitis type problem. Drink loads of water, at least 8-10 glasses a day to help flush any bacteria through, and make sure you go to pee as soon as you get the urge (so that bacteria are not sitting multiplying in the bladder). There is no clinical evidence that cranberry juice helps and we advise if you do want it, then have no more than 1-2 glasses a day.
I would certainly recommend you take a trip back to the GP. It is right that sometimes the condition does just settle but as it is worsening you do need some active treatment. If you feel the GP is not supportive (& some are not, unfortunately) then go and see another in the practice or you can visit a GUM clinic..they are not just for sexually transmitted infections but can help with any genital infections.

it sounds like you may have deep vaginal thrush it can go away on its own or some time it can get worse. in your case it sounds as if it has worsened even though you have used cannestan but there are different kinds of cannesten so may be the one you have had wasn't strong enough. or you may even be allergic to it either way your problem is still persistent i would go back to your g.p for further help if you are not confident with your g.p then see a different g.p or the nurse at your g.p.practice for a second opinion. in the mean time try having a relaxing bath as you may find it relieves the irritation while your bathing.

Yes drink plenty of water and boil some pearl barley and drink the water from it. It taste disgusting but it will cool down the fire.

Male doctors have nae a clue when it comes to womens problems.

It will clear up soon but flushing out the acid and toxins is the answer. Bathe in salt water as this also helps.

The suggestions of drinking water and cranberry juice are good. Eating lots of plain yogurt with L. acidophilus cultures may also help

I also suggest douching with a mix of water and hydrogen peroxide to help return your vagina to its natural flora. I use an empty douche or enema bottle, fill it with mostly water and 3 to 4 table spoons of hydrogen peroxide, insert it and hold it in for about a minute and then let it out. If you do this for 3 or 4 days in a row, it should help relieve the BV. Hydrogen peroxide is used to kill bacteria thats why it works. It doesn't burn or sting.

That is weird, I had bacterial vaginosis before and my doctor gave me this cream to use inside there and it was gone in about 2 days. It sounds like the things he gaveyou are irritating you more, I would stop using them and call him tomorrow and tell him it is still bothering you.

You should return to your physician or to a second opinion physician. I would suggest that you go immediately to an urgent care doctor or to an emergency room as you could have a severe condition that requires immediate care. Do not run the risk of furthur damage to your health by delaying proper diagnosis. It may turn out to be as simple as a yeast infection, but always better safe than sorry when it comes to your health.

You could have a bad case of thrush, I have had it before, it absolutely kills! Stings like mad when you wee because it may dribble on the infected area.

I just lathered myself with canesten cream and used a pessary, you will find it gets better but mine did last for 3 weeks.

Try to avoid sex too, because if your partner has thrush but not necessarily shows signs, each time they will re-infect you!

Good luck

I used to get this plenty. it truly is Cystitis (a urine an infection). The 'over the counter' drugs did not artwork with me so I went to my established practitioner and they did a urine try. i changed into then prescribed antibiotics and they artwork a take care of. this kind of relief even as that feeling is going away.
