Drama queens and pessimists are two completely different things. A drama queen is a female [or male] who overreacts about everything and craves attention. A pessimist is someone who has a negative outlook on life. They tend to see the glass as half empty, rather than half full.

no a drama queen actually wants bad things to happen. as a pessimist feels that way.

I think a Drama Queen could also be a person who over-reacts to stuff going on in there lives and needs the attention on just them.

i guess you would say a drama queen in a pessimist because they dont WANT bad things to happen, but they take any situation and make it bad! they find the downer sides of it... and i think that closely resembles a pessimist.

A drama queen is a pessimist who blames everyone else for their own unhappiness and mistakes! They believe everyone is out to get them. They aren't to blame for anything bad that happens to them. They're in denial of their shortcomings.

A drama queen is neither, it is someone who makes the proverbial mountain out of a molehill.. makes out that something is much bigger than it really is, just to make a scene in which to be the centre of attention (hence the term 'drama')

I'd say neither.
A drama queen doesn't necessarily look at everything negatively, nor does s/he necessarily want bad things to happen - they simply over-inflate the severity or consequence of negative things that do happen, most often, by whining to others.
