Double/Dual Personality – human mind consist of two parts the Intellectual Self and the Emotional Self. When the mind is integrated, as is the usual case, it might be analogized as a coin with two faces, Heads and Tails. The Intellectual Self is the Head side and the Emotional Self is the Tail side. Normally, we are operating somewhere between 99% intellectually and 99% emotionally. Both are there, ready to be used. Neither one is good or bad. How much we use of which one depends on the situation and the goal we have.

It just means you can be like two completely different people depending on the situation.
You have a double personality or multiple personalities if you reveal various sides of your thoughts, feelings, actions to others.
I'm considered serious at times while most of the time I'm quite silly and laid back.

It means you have two completely different personalities. Like Dr Jeckyl and Mr Hyde (or however they're spelled), though not necessarily one sane and one evil. It could be you have a side of you that is bright, happy, optimistic and generally fun to be around, but you also have a personality that is mean, rude, pessimistic, morbid, and generally anti-social, and you could switch between the two and never even really know it.
A lot of people have a double personality, they just generally blend the two together, or never notice it.
