Navy Blue or Sky Blue.

There's a teacher at my school who everyone thinks is crazy because she wants her kids to have a name that no one else will have so she names them after crayons.

Stuff like: tickle me pink, tangerine orange, but right now she ahs a daughter named Navy Blue and is gonna have a son named Sky Blue.

What would you do if you were named like this? And does anyone else think she's crazy?

And she's not an art teacher. she's an english teacher. and poor part is, the whole 8th grade has already came up with some harsh names for the kids. pretty sad rigth? her daughter came to the school one day and they announce Navy Blue on the announcements and everyone started to crack up.

I would like the name Skye Blue better and I think that she could have named the girl Skye Blue and the boy Navy Blue. She has a bad sense of thinking. If I was named like this I would have to be outgoing and unique. I have to be nice to have friends. Hopefully Navy Blue has friends. Sky Blue will probably or probably not.

I like the name Sky, but naming children after crayons is going too far.

Navy Blue?!

I would probably keep my name in the end; it would feel kind of weird to change, even if my name was somewhat strange. Or, if her kids become performers, they would have stage names already...

Well that story is very unlikely to happen. but IF. IF. IF that happened then i would try talking to my mom about how the world is all different and not everyone should be named on the same subjects. I would tlk to her about how ppl make fun of me. If that doesnt work, then id just try to find a name that will suit both of our opinions. and that is an IF. Its not likely to happen!

Is she planning to have a box of 64 kids or keep it to a minimum of the box of 24?

Or just have 8 big fat ones?

I think it is a personal thing. My preference is a more classic name like Michael or Anthony but everyone is different. If she likes it it's right for her --- but she should stop to consider if her children will appreciate growing up with names like that.

i hope your teacher realizes how much torturing, humuliation, and pain those names are gonna put her kids through. Because i used to know someone named skittles and her brother was named starburst, lol

I don't think she's crazy, but I think she's got the wrong idea about unique baby names. Those names are hideous.

I think that would be child abuse. If she wants to give someone an insane name, she should give it to herself, rather than potentially ruining her children's lives.
