Can you remove commercials with DVD+RW discs?

Are there any DVD+RW recorders that allow you to edit to remove commercials or is that option only available for DVD-RW discs?

You can "hide" commercials. You create a chapter with the commercial and then you hide it from playback. The disc space is wasted.
