I suggest you get an examination by an OBGYN. Anytime you have changes in your period or a period lasting longer or is very heavy more so than normal......you can be having a problem. I went thru years and years of horrid cramping, missed work doubled up in pain, 3 miscarriages,(one Live Birth...he is 25 now an normal) Also, having periods and spotting for 9 months....then no period for 6 months and not pregnant......(in the end I had bad endrometrosis and pre-cancer cells, as well as hundreds of cysts all over inside me.) I would hemorrage for 1-1/2 days....waking up (luckily) but in pools of blood that wouldn't stop and no amount of pads and tampons could or would stop it. Having an HMO sucks. I went through years of Bulls**t testing.....pills..... DNC's poking, sticking and still had problems. Finally, I was near suicidal.....and My Husband was worried I would bleed to death in my sleep....He let the doctors know to do something......It's all gone now.....but what an ordeal I had to go thru.
Dont wait.....lots of these problems can be taken care of early with no harm to having future children. When let go, by HMO's like mine.....you can lose all hope. You have to fight for yourself and be firm and persistent and be on top of it. Research it out on the internet....webMD is good...among others.

You should hold off on trying to get pregnant since it seems to only be your boyfriend's idea. Also, if you guys both want to get pregnant, you should marry each other.

As for problems with your cycle, it could be stress-related. Visit a doctor.

You need to see your doctor..I don't know what the problem is.
However, you should never "give in" to having a baby. You two need to talk it out and reach a decision together.
