On the way out of a church I was visiting (years ago)..the preacher (at the door) shook my hand. A BIG "electrical feeling" shock went into my hand. I said ,"What was that?!!!!" He just "grinned" (like he KNEW what he had done.)(Don't say it was a blessing...it WASN'T)(Bad things happened after that.)

I've had "static " shock before. It wasn't like that. (and it wasn't cold weather). It was more like he had a live electrical cord in his hand. (But I do understand why you would think it was static shock....probably everybody else will too.)(Just looking for someone it has also happened to.)

wiccan....No...I didn't even know about black magic etc. I thought it was kinda neat that it happened. I thought he was a good Christian. I realized it might have been something bad years later when I found out what he was like.(Hindsight)

Cregg..I'm going to study your answer. Thanks.
Louisa...These were separate incidences. That shock seemed like a "curse"..but I don't know if it can happen that way. He didn't like the church I came from.

Cregg...I've felt drained for a long time. I feel like my energy source was taken away from me. Or maybe I was draining others. IDK.

pd..Thanks for trying & not making fun. I didn't think of him as a real "holy"man. That "falling down under the power of the Holy Spirit"(as we thought it was) happened to me too. No way I could fall backwards like I did "normally".I would have tried to catch myself.Anyway..it has to happen to you for you to understand. But I don't go to churches anymore, so it won't happen again. (About the other..I wasn't expecting anything more than a handshake. But I had a feeling he wasn't "on the level"by things he had said.).

It's only from my own experience that just about anyone can be taken over by some entity. According to what Jesus had said was that there are the hosts and the great hosts. A host need only be temporarily used and the entities knowledge of you could have been known from another time, most likely in the future which is where you are presently. I have been a host on several occasions and remember them having conversations with others in another language such as Aramaic. Many religious figures can be used just as easily as others and what probably passed between you was an entity or one of many. When I was in group outpatient therapy many people there had there energy taken from them and they fell asleep and woke up drained and tired. Some refer to these as energy vampires which is probably an entity that can take living human energy as a source of power. You can't really always blame a religious person or another when they are Innocent themselves. You don't have to believe this, but do some research on it anyway.

Static electricity can be strong at times. I have had static shocks that was almost as strong as a 110 outlet. I have also had experiences with churches and preachers that try and make things sound like it was God or something. I am judging the preacher and you did not say what kind of church it was. I know many good preachers who would never try to control anyone that would joke like that but only if the person knew they were joking.
I have also had preachers to claim God was doing such and such just to try to control me and keep me under submission to them. These same preachers are the ones who will have someone ask you things personal then tell him and he will say that God told him this. Manipulation is what it is all about.
Whether or not the preacher was trying to control you, it sounds to me like you caused that to be kind of a curse to you. curses cannot harm anyone and have no power, but if you believe in them you give them power. i think this is what has happened to you regardless of the intentions of the preacher, Bad things have happened because you felt like that was an omen or sign or something.
Hope this helps and hope you stop believing in thing like this.
BB

I've had this happen to me once before, I was about to hold hands with a girl I knew and received a shock, we both felt it and there was no burn mark or that static feeling you get on the back of your neck. I can't recall bad things happening, but years later that girl was hooked on drugs and bad news to be around. You should find out what happened to that preacher.
Could have been a "shock" warning of some type from a protective force or spirit, maybe he was transmitting his bad intentions on to you? Whatever the case it is probably uncommon or not widely reported due to the static electricity connection we usually make.

I am not sure on this one Denie, but you know how my brain works. The shock you received from the preacher's hand could have everything to do with the fact you knew him to be a preacher. Have you ever seen those folks who pass out at faith healings? The healing part is complete nonsense, but the passing out can be very real. The person doing so believes in it and that makes it seem real to them. I'm not saying this is what happened to you, but it's certainly a possibility.

Denie, what kind of churches did you go to? I have been to a lot of them and I have never had anything close to the experiences you have had. They almost sound as if you were going out of your way to find churches with alternative beliefs. Its going to get worse as we go on into the future, especially when a lot of people are suckered into this unified world religion that has invaded many beliefs. If your ever interested, I would really like to hear of these churches and your experiences with them. maybe thats what has happened, you have been attracted to congregations with alternative beliefs and a minister preaching false prophecies.
EDIT: denie, i dont believe in this garbage of speaking in tongues and that sort of mass hysteria. I am a run of the mill old time Christian that does things by the book. I am sorry bout you experiences but it sounds like someone wants you to go astray.

I quite often hold my perception to my self, however as soon as whilst I informed a few my severe Christian/Catholic peers that I was once Atheist, they did not say something impolite, however you would inform that they have been stunned and simply variety of slightly extra hesitant round me. However, within the field that I are living, there are lots of church goers, nevertheless, I have met a few atheists who're enormously open approximately their ideals and considering the fact that then, I do not suppose the ought to disguise my ideals. I am real sorry for the very hurtful means your co-employee treated your "popping out" (hah)

I agree with Cregg and Louisa yet there still the possibility that both had opposite charges of energy thus when hands shook they collided ths the shock. Also as the other story of the energy vampire could be true, but it could be you who is the vampire or him since if it was u and he had bad energy u absorbed all the bad (bad energy only because one thinks one is good) who is to know? who be it? Think bout it....

So I understand shock, but I have trouble following your story the way you tell it.
So you were leaving the church, got shocked and they took you back in to a little room at the front near the pulpit?

It's called "Static". As for the bad things, I'm sure you can name (If you think about it) just as many good things that have happened over the years since then.
Don't be superstitious.
