You can kick a FG to tie the game but he goes for it on 4th and 1. They didn't make it and lost 20-17.
Can we agree that Herm has lost his mind?

I agree with you. This is the pros. Kick the field goal and tie the game. Then take your chance in overtime

Didn't see the game, but it sounds like a classic "he's a genius if it works and an idiot if it doesn't". A couple weeks ago I watched my team kick the FG for the tie in a similar situation - we then lost on the first play of OT.

I wouldn't want his job - just his paycheck !!

Yes, with the Chiefs playing the way they have this season I would have swallowed by pride and at least kicked the field goal.

But I guess he as no faith in his D, not to mention I guess at this point in the season with their record there is nothing to loss, except the game! Ha!

i dont know why he challenged the spot on the previous play and wasted a time out.i wanted him to go for it ,the kicker missed an easy one on the last try.im more pissed on how they let oakland get all those big runs to drain the clock .

Maybe he has been watching the Pats do it the last few weeks and since they have been making it look so easy he thought he could do it too.
