I don't think it's environmental.

It's based on your genes and your overall nutrition. Sex hormones are what stops your growth spurt at puberty. It causes the plate of cartilage between the epiphasis (the end of long bones like your femur or humerus) and diaphisis (the middle column of the long bone) to turn to bone, inhibiting further elongation: the elongation which causes you to become taller around age 10-12'ish

That's not environmental...... so...

You can say that nutrition based on your culture can affect it, but you have to also look at ethnicity... which also encompasses a difference in genes.

Genes control height.
Tho a person can grow to a taller or shorter height than predicted (usually +/- 2 inches), under normal conditions.

A 25 year old man 5ft 10in tall can have a genetically idential twin slightly taller or shorter (+/- 2 in.)
Or a brother that is 7ft 10in, if he had a pituatary tumor that overproduced growth hormone, and went untreated.

Environmental factors
tho might include "Social factors"
Shorter than predicted
Poor care by biological or foster parents
Malnutrition.
Chemical and biological toxins.
Disease

i comprehend human beings say milk does no longer help that a lot to advance height, even if it worked o.k. for me. If i changed into you, then i could drink atleast 3-4 glasses of milk an afternoon and devour culmination and vegetables. For breakfast be confident to devour cereal because there are a determination of nutrition. in case you keep on with this plan, then you are able to haven't any mission growing to be tall. P.S. the way you sleep has no influence on your height!! Thats only a fantasy, fairy tale, made up tale.

Being born in place where there is not enough food for proper nutrition makes people smaller and shorter as adults. The opposite is also true. Plenty of nutrition makes people grow taller.

Having worms in childhood can also reduce adult height.
