my name is michelle and im 12 years old and im a aspiring actress. me and my family has been thinking about moving 2 CA when im 16 from New jersey, where i live now because there really isnt any casting calls in NYC, ive starting taking acting classes and ive been in preformaces in our county theathe, does anyone have any tips for me to help me get into acting and any casting calls in NYC? thanks byes

You're taking classes to sharpen your skills, and you're gaining experience by acting in local productions, so you're doing everything right so far. Do you and your parents know about the weekly newspaper Backstage? That's a good source for information about casting calls in New York.

yes take mime classes. being a mimic sounds boring but it is the essential to acting. which is facial contortions and control . your young so training your facial muscles now could benefit you in dramas . your face is your canvass. draw a picture with it. also dance classes help with cordination and singing with voice control. try leaning against a wall and take two deep breaths on the third count while exhaling . try to get to 50 without your voice cracking. barbara streisand could go to 227. practice and good luck!
