I had Norton but it wouldn't pick up an obvious problem. I uninstalled it and installed AVG free and it sorted the problem out.
Whatever works for you I guess but I am anti Norton lol

It sucks. I helped more then a few people remove theirs and explaining how many (better) alternatives there are.

Norton is one of the CPU hog apps of the planet. Having a dual/quad core blah blah blah just so you can pull up a spreadsheet in good time because of norton is the height of a bad app.

I could write forever on my hate for norton.

I am happy with the Internet Security, but don't get trapped into buying the Norton 360 program...it takes over your system! I had the hardest time trying to figure out how to disable my virus protection when I needed to defrag my hard drives.

Well, I used Norton years ago when I first began. Switched to MacAfee, works great on my work computer ,been using Kaspersky for five years on my personal computer. Norton did NOT catch a couple "worms". Kaspersky has stopped everything, our IT guy at work says MacAfee has stopped evreything.

I have it and it works well for me. On the computer I have now that is. On my other computer it hated Norton. But my newer computer and Norton seem to get along well. They have teamed up and become buddies. I have no problems at all!!

I tried it (the trial version), and it lagged my system down so bad that I had to uninstall it. Norton anti-virus programs are very hard to uninstall too.

I did not like it. It slowed my system down, and when I tried to delete it from my computer it would not let me. It was so bad that I had to buy another computer.

I have the windows live one security and it seems to work well.

We hated it!!! I'm pretty sure it also ruined our computer. My husband and I are spending hundreds trying to get our computer back to normal. We told Best Buy not to install it, but they did anyway. We figured it couldn't hurt to have more security, but we've had nothing but issues with it.
