he went to the emergency room right after it happened on tuesday and they cleaned it out, and sent him home with some stuff that he had to put in it, he went back to the emergency room on friday and they just gave him more of the eye stuff and sent him home. he can not open his eye without having to pry it open and he can't see out of it. there is this gel like stuff in his eye, we think maybe it's his body's way of protecting his eye because there is still concrete coming out everyday. has any thing like this ever happened to any one and does any one know any treatment that may help his eye get better?

My nephew's cornea got scratched a couple of years ago by sand from the beach. They just gave him something similar to what your husband got, & it healed up nicely. His eye may be infected. Instead of going to the ER, he might want to call his optometrist & see what they suggest.

If there is concreate coming out of it still, then I doubt eye oitment will do a lot of good. I`d go back to the ER or to your GP and ask to speak to someone that knows what they are talking about.

Call an eye doctor. They probably have a lot more experience with the long term treatment of eye injuries than your ER.
They should also be be able to give him something for pain.
OUCH!
