I am 100% sure that it is my husband's money. If my son has $30.00 in his pocket, he would be gone. He has no gas in his car right now...lol. Good way to keep him at home.

If this was a dryer that only a couple people have access to, then it would be a nice gesture to try and return it. However, if this is at a public laundry or the wash room for a large apartment complex than I would consider it your lucky day. Although I guess you could turn it into the management and hope they would be honest about whether or not it was claimed.
Where I live there is a wash room for 4 apartments so there would only be 3 other possibilities.

That's a tricky one because anyone you ask could easily say it is theirs. It is not like you can say " describe it to me". Your only chance of any honesty from people would be to say I found some money in a dryer and if they know exactly how much it was it clearly was theirs. However, chances are who ever it belongs to left it in their pockets by mistake and has no idea how much it is. Or you could simply ask who used that dryer last and not inform them of the reason you are asking until you find out who it is.
Normally I am a big believer in returning what is not ours but unless you know for a fact who used the dryer before you I would just keep it and consider it your lucky day.

Is there any way to know who it belongs to? Did you see who had the dryer last? It would be really sad to keep it and it turned out to be someone's lunch money. But, if your somewhere public and there is no way to find out, you could give it to the owner to keep ( but only if you really believe they wouldn't just pocket it.) That's a hard question...I don't think you're wrong regardless. (unless you know who it belongs to) Good luck.

My guess is that if it found it's way into the hamper, it probably sat in the pants it came from for a while, and the money is completely forgotten about. I say keep the money. It won't be missed. Now if you had found it in a wallet or something, that would be a different story.

The best way to find who the real owner is: Ask if anyone has lost any money and how much did they lose. If they can answer correctly I would hand it over. If they can't, then I would have to say it's yours.

Depends if it is your house or a laundromat. If it's your house, I'd ask and give it back. If it's a laundromat, then whomever it belonged to already left, and you probably can't find them, so I'd keep it.
