I am friends with a couple whp have 7 kids...they adopted 4 and 1 was from her previous relationship... Madison (9), Alexis (8), Kyle (6), Keith (4), Lynda (3), Lisbeth (3), Trinity (4 months)...

He adopted Madison..who is hers from another relationship...so who will get Maddy? And who will get Aelxis, Kyle, Keith, Lynda, Lisbeth, and Trinity? And will they be split up? Both parents are Orthodontist and have good homes so it wont be a matter of where they will be better off. And they do not want shared custody...they want either all or none.

It depends on how long they've been together, but if he is the only dad the oldest child has really known and he's adopted her, then he will be treated as her dad. The same goes for the other adopted kids.

Unless there is something wrong with the mom, more likely she will get physical custody of the kids, he will get visitation and have to pay child support.

Just because they both want all or none, doesn't mean it will work out that way. They both may be educated professionals, but they are both stupid if you ask me. This shouldn't be a war to see who has "control" of the children. Divorce is hard enough without this kind of bullshi*. I say split custody and let the kids grow up knowing the love and attention of both of their parents. Since all the kids were either adopted by both of them (including Maddie) or born to them, then they legally have the sames rights to all of them. I feel for those kids. They will be in my prayers in hopes that God will give the "parents" some wisdom before they tear these kids apart emotionally.......

who ever the judge thinks will make a better parent... it don't always mean the mother.. sometimes it means the father.. they may be professionals.. but they are not acting like it..and with the youngest being just 4 months.. my quess would be the mother..mothers are the ones that really get up with babies in the middle of the night.. now some men do this as well.. but that is just a few.. if i were i judge i would look at this.. they should think about sharing the children.. that would be the best thing for them..

These things vary state to state. Since he adopted Madison she is as much his as the rest of them. Usually they do not like to split the kids up. Where one goes they usually all go. How old they can be to decide also varies by where you live. Why do they not want shared custody? That is probably what is best for the kids.

My best guess is the mother.... and have joint custody half of the time with each parent....I think thats fair to the kids, in the end they don't have to pay for their parent's separation...

All or none, well if there going to be like that they will end up with none. Judges don't like that.

It will be up to the judge since there both unwilling to work together.
