Changing from one type of pill to another can cause breakthrough bleeding, nausea and headaches because of the difference in the level of hormones in your body. If you stop taking the pill suddenly you will get your period also. Did your Dr advise you to take extra precautions for a month while you adjusted to the new pills? If he/she did then you could possibly be pregnant. If you have questions about your new pills you should call your Dr's office and speak to them about your concerns. Also make sure to mention the side effects that you experienced on the new pills.

probably not.. Maybe you have some side effects from the new pill .
When you stop taking the pill you bleed its like if you forget to take some you may spot. I have stopped taking the pill at one stage as i thought i was pregnant ( I forgot to take 3 pills after the other for the month) when i stopped taking it I did not bleed and I was pregnant so its very unlikley you would be pregnant ..
You now wont have a "real period " thats your period your going to get as you stopped taking the pill , you may have 2 periods in that month or your cycle will start on different dates now as a result. I do not think you are :) but thats just my oppinion

Yes, it is possible for you to get pregnant while switching pills. Usually the doctor will tell you to use condoms during the first week of use while switching pills or while first starting the pill.
You may have tested too early. You should wait until after you miss your period. Read the side of the box, it says that only 69% of women get an accurate reading 5 days before their missed period. That's not very error proof if you ask me! You just have to be patient and wait otherwise you're going to waste your time on false-negatives.

Your not pregnant. Sounds like the new pills aren't good for you. You need to stop taking any pills till after 3 periods (yes the period your on now counts as one) start a new birth control you haven't tried yet after the third period ends (or four months but that's not the best option). After starting new pill don't have unprotected sex till you start the second pack. Most birth control pills are ONLY 80% affective so using VCF - vaginal contraceptive film (it's usually near the condoms in stores, it's in a box) during the week you are most fertile (3 weeks one color pill; first week: little fertile, second week: most fertile, third week: not as much) would be a good idea. VCF kills sperm on contact. That will decrease your chance of pregnancy a little more.

The hormones used by the different pills are different, they will cause a change in how your body reacts to them. You'll have pregnancy like symptoms just like if you were PMSing because of the fluctuation.
The bleeding is also normal for that.
I would however go check things with your doctor. The hormones in the pills arent working right for your body, and they probbaly need to be adjusted. You can get pregnant while on the pill anyway, its uncommon but it certainly happens.
Either way, just go talk to your GYN about it.

No. I don't think you are. If you are bleeding it's because you stopped your birth control. And the reason you felt nauseous and had head aches is b/c of the new form of birth control you were taking. Changing brands can cause some hormonal changes. You just have to wait it through a couple of months

well birth control is supposed to shorten ur periods and sometimes if u stop taking them u will have ur period unschedule (like a side effect) i dont think ur preggers i think its just an effect of u stopping the pill. HOney im just giving u my opinion but im not a medical professional, if u r really worried, go to ur doctor and get it checked out

I dont think so.. maybe the changing of the pills made you feel sick... but if your bleeding that most likely means you are not pregnant.. if this continues then you should contact your doctor to see what they think.

It doesn't sound as if you are pregnant. I think your body is just producing a normal reaction to changing pill - what doctors usually call a breakthrough bleed. If you are really worried and don't feel you can wait to see if your cycle returns to normal, see your doctor.

For a question this serious, I'd probably call up an advice nurse. They'd be much more well informed than any of us here. Hope all goes well.
