How do you trick your dog into eating his/her medicine?

I either put it in a piece of human food or actually shove it down his throat.

Wrap the medicine into a piece of meat and let the dog eat it.

I have had this problem with my dog so my pet's doctor said to use peanut butter and stick it to the roof of the dogs mouth or use cheese. but if this does not work take your thumb and index finger and sqeeze the sides of the dogs mouth and put the medicine down the dogs thorat it does not hurt the dog

We always put it in cheese or a piece of hot dog.
I believe you can get a tube like gadget that you
blow the pill or capsule down the dogs throat.
Never used it though. Stuck to the food.

Put it in a pill pocket!

Better yet, learn to pill your dog, it is much easier than trying to trick a smart breed.

when my dog got hit by a car he had to take these pain killer and antibacterial pills. the only way hed eat them was if we slipped them into pieces of chicken nuggets. he got smart and after a while wouldn't eat them in cheese or ice cream. hot dogs work too.

My dog usually falls for the cheese. When she is really tough I make small meatballs and put it in those,that never fails.

I used to wrap it up in a piece of roast beef and toss it to him, he'd swallow it before he knew what it was (most of the time) but he was a 135lb dog, he didn't need to chew it

I wouldnt trick my dog for her to take her meds..i mean she will take her multivitamins like shes eating her food..she likes it. but when she feels no good like having a fever- she nids a tablet so definitely she will not like it..il put it in a bottle and force her to drink it. its not for me anyways..its for her.
