1. What are some theme ideas and such that could be turned in to a 60 - 90 minute performance?

2. What format is used for submission? I've heard that it's different then what the actors see and somewhat like a screenplay.

3. How many pages would a 60-90 minute play be (roughly)?

4. Does the 60-90 minutes include intermission? Do children's plays have intermissions?

5. Any other advice that you think would be helpful.

There are TONS of sources out there. Just do an internet search for "playwriting format". You are right, submission format is different from what the actors see, to make it easier for publishers/jurors, etc. to read.
