Maybe i'll get more response asking the question this way..... what should've i said to this lady?
was getting my nails done a while back at a salon that has Vietnamese people working there. My 5 year old was with me and was "being a 5 year old" Just getting bored. So she 's doing my nails and then stops looks at my son cause he was fiddling with something and says
" If you don't listen to your momma, I'm going to cut your tongue out and feed it to you!".
.. with a mean voice. Then she goes on to tell me how her neices and nephews are scared of her because she is so strict to them.
I guess i am a pushover because i just didnt say anything to her but inside i was in shock and actually felt bad that my kid got on her nerves so bad she felt she had to yell at him. What is wrong with me?! I probably should've got up and said i wasnt paying for it and drug my kid outta there and never went back.......
what do u think?

The good thing is you are thinking about this now... so you will know how to deal with such things in the future. As far as your 5 year old is concerned, you need to evaluate your parenting. Does your child annoy people more than other children of that age? Or was it about average. If your child is not especially annoying then here is a suggestion for the next time something like that happens to you.
Do not yell, or scream. Calmly, but firmly, tell the person. Thank you, but that is MY child. If you have a problem, you may address it to me, THE ADULT. If necessary, I will handle the discipline issues of my own child. Anything more they have to say, I would take it as disrespect to me and my position, and I would get up and leave, never to return to that establishment.

I wouldn't take small children with me to get my nails done...they have too much energy and have a hard time being still and quiet..to AVOID GETTING EMBARRESSED...about your kids behavier and what someone may say to them when they get on their nerves...keep them at home...I thought he was 6 anyways lol
