No, its not a side effect of the medication (or its not listed as one) but having a sinus infection may mean that you are breathing through your mouth more than you are used to, which in itself can cause the dry throat and a cough.
If in any doubt however, or your symptoms get more severe, see your health professional.

Hi spicy,

Here's some news your doctor might not be aware of. According to the Mayo Clinic about 96% of chronic sinus problems are caused by yeast or fungus, not bacteria.

To make matters worse, antibiotics, including amoxicillin, PROMOTE yeast and fungal growth! (Antibiotics also promote gradual weight gain!)

Sinus problems can become throat and bronchial problems overnight.

Here is what I would do rather than take antibiotics.

- I'd take olive leaf extract, starting with one a day. This kills yeast, fungus and bad bacteria!
- PB8, an outstanding probiotic. Your antibiotic has destroyed your good bacteria. You need a superior probiotic to fix that.
- SinusBuster to clear out the sinus infection quickly.
-Gargle with Alklalol, a natural product available from pharmacies

You want to eliminate the yeast overgrowth that has most likely been caused by the antibiotics. Yeast overgrowth just might be the #1 culprit in a myriad of chronic health problems including weight gain, sinus infections, asthma, diabetes and cancer.

For those reasons, I can't stress enough how important it is to get that yeast and fungus under control.

The best to you.

Kelley

It is more likely to be linked to the sinus infection rather than the amoxicillin.

I'm on amoxicillin currently to help heal after getting my wisdom teeth removed. I haven't seen any side effects except for a little dryness. It's really not that bad though!
