I'm looking at it from the view of my relatives in a rural area who have no jobs, no prospect of jobs, no healthcare, but they still vote republican. who the blazes knows why. I thought maybe the Yahoo Enlightened could tell me.
as for getting out of the way of small business, walmart is killing small business, so it doesn't matter if the republicans get out of the way or not.

Or the Hillary way...we can all have VERY poor healthcare. Why can't they find jobs? If there are no jobs, then there is public assistance. Those are some good options. Sometimes people need to help themselves. I have been in many bad financial situations in my life, but I always figured it out for myself.

Illegal aliens in the us are here because we allowed them to be here for the past 50 + years. US buisinesses, usually republicans use the cheap labor. The cheaper wage we pay here is better than the wages that can be made in Mexico. Don't tell me that now that after all these years it has become popular for the gop to adopt this stance. We are fighting a war started by a Bush Cheney adminstration lie. With the expenditure of 100s of billions of dollars yearly Busy claims there is no money left. Again the insurance companies don't want to be knocked out of buisiness so Bush appeases the few not the majority of american who need health insurance. Whatever we do we must elect a democratic president, house of representatives and senate to insure that our needs ,the will of the people is satisfied otherwise America and the republican agenda will wipe out our middle class and deny the possibility of medical care for all...........

The answers you have received tell the tale.
One can only wonder how they avoid the truth in front of their eyes. Despite the fact that we have sunk in health care availability to high third world status, despite being the only industrialized nation without universal coverage, its blamed on a party out of power for the last fifteen years. And a woman only in the Senate for six. Reagan presided over the death of the unions, that has led to the lowest real gains in working people at a time when the ratio of executive salaries, perks and golden parachutes has become excessive.
Bush, a Republican, has made no attempt to halt illegal immigration, and, lets be honest, they aren't taking American jobs, they don't have the education or training for that.
I think that poor Republicans have delusions of grandeur. They think that WHEN they get rich if there are Republicans in power, they will get to keep more of their money, simple facts to the contrary.
I suppose facts aren't their strong suit. Wishful thinking is.

Republicans are for getting out of the way of small business. Thereby creating an environment for job creation.
In your example, I'm sure the person would rather have a job.

I agree with the first two answerers and I believe intiatives in cutting taxes to let businesses expand and employers hire more people. Initiatives for job training, technical or college. Many more things seen for a person to care for themselves rather than to rely on others is a whole lot more than just pro life and the right to own guns.

Unless one is wealthy the Republican party isn't really interested. It is not just my opinion but public records show how they vote and what they say.

If you listened and believed everything the radio told you, even when it isn't an accurate description of the circumstances, you would believe the same thing.

Ok first and foremost, it is the unions that have sold out our country for their own greed, It was BILL CLINTON who signed NAFTA that sent MORE jobs across seas and he is a DEMOCRAT not a Republican. The health insurance lobbyist who hawk after people like hillary clinton, harry reid are to blame for the healthcare crisis and the expense. Lobbyist have their own interest at hand. Just like the insurance companies, its all about the dollar.

Because it's patriotic to suffer and scrape and worry, so that the rich don't have to.
And you're probably wondering how anyone could ever buy that.
Me too.

The rep. party represents our best interests as they are promising to eliminate illegal immigration, which will trickle down to more jobs, lower healthcare rates, lower car insurance, cheaper rent, better mass transit, etc.
