Yes she can go to an OB by herself without her parents consent. But if she uses health insurance by her parents and they are suspicious they can find out. There is no monthly statement or anything but there are other options. She could go to a clinic or a planned parenthood. No parents needed or insurace. She should tell her parents soon though. The sooner the better she will need a lot of support!

She can go to Planned Parenthood in Ohio. Look in the local phone book and see where there is one near you. They will ask her what she wants to do and point her in the right direction. No one can make her have an abortion. The phone number for it for Summit, Portage and Medina counties is 330-678-8011. You can even call them and they can give you a number to one near you. You can tell them the situation on the phone and they will tell her what to do. You do not need parental consent to go there.

She needs to get to a doctor soon! She needs to stop hiding and show her mature side. If she wants the baby she needs to start acting like a caring mother instead of a scared teen. It's absolutely scary! I can't even imagine. That baby needs to be taken care of though. There are many social services out there to help her, but she needs to seek them out. Yes she can go to the doctor at 17. I used to take myself in for appointments at that age. Good luck to her and we'll be praying for her.
