At age 14 your parents are still responcible for your actions, but legally you can be charged as an adult. At age 15 in some states you can get a work permit. And at the age of 17 you can have consentual sex. All the things that make you a responcible adult.. should you choose to be one

I believe the Supreme Court just upheld the court case of Brown vs the state of Indiana that 14 year olds did have the right to remove that little sissy bell from their bicycle handlebars if they so desired.
The state claimed that all children had to leave the bell on the bike (if it came equipted) untill 16 years of age.
But in a 3-4 split decision it was ruled that any child reaching the age of 14 could remove the bell if he/she so desired.

Not much, unless you get emancipated from your parents by the courts. But you better be prepared to support yourself legally and provide evidence for this.
Basically, just wait till you are grown. There are more years spent as an adult, than they are as a child.

14 year old....they don't belong to themselves yet-unless they run away & live on the street, eat out of garbage cans & steal clothes off people's clothe lines to cover up their hairless body.....so they can go to school, obey their parents & teachers and grow up to be responsible. Then they can look back & wish they'd applied themselves even more at a young age and not been sulky & rebellious.
