Charles, of the House of Stuart, was also called between 1600 and 1625

"Prince" or "Lord Charles", "The Duke of Albany", "Marquess of Osmond", "Earl of Ross", and "Lord Ardmannoch";

and from 1605 to 1625, he was also called, "The Duke of York";

and from 1612 to 1625, he also took on the titles of "The Duke of Cornwall" and "The Duke of Rothesay", both of whom now belong to the current Prince of Wales;

and from 1616 to 1625, Charles was also "The Prince of Wales";

and finally from 1625 to 1649, he was referred to as "His Majesty the King";

whereupon, according to the Anglican Church, he is "King Charles, the Martyr".
