Life is too short if you are througherly enjoying life.
If you are miserable life can be so very loooooong.
You are right life is to each of us the longest thing we will have during this life, but assuming we only have one life 100 years is a tiny amount of time within infinity.

It may be the longest thing we ever experience, but relative to our hopes, desires, and lust for life, it's short. Most people would like to live forever.
EDIT: People might think it'd be boring to live forever, but if it ever came down to it -- even 500 years from now, do you really think you'd be done? I don't think anybody would say "Y'know... there's really nothing to do, and it's been that way for about 50 years. I think it's time for me to die." Nobody would kill themselves out of boredom.

whhit til you're older and you'll see just how quickly it goes by. Life truly IS too short. There's a song out now by Kenny Chesney called Don't Blink- it's about how 100 years goes by fasater than you think- and my 90 yr old mother would attest to that.

It's a saying to live in the moment....
If you have a great life, than yes it is too short, why would you want to die if you have an amazing life.

I think what we are trying to say with that is you never know when it is your last day...so live your life to the fullest each and every day.
