I pressed Download and Save, and saved it to my computer. But when I open iTunes and press Add File and click on the video, it doesn't do anything. Nothing pops up, it just doesn't do ANYTHING.

It's in the right format, too. So I don't understand ... plus I'm not sure if it downloaded the whole thing. It was a long vid, over an hour, and it said something like 200+ MB, but it downloaded in like 2 mins and then it said the downloaded file was only like 5 MB.

That can't be right!

As iPod support MP4 file, if your download video is not MP4. Find a iPod converter to help you.

I recommend you to try Daniusoft DVD to iPod Suite which I used good now. It could help you convert any dvd movie or video to iPod video with only three steps. Also it let you set the movie effects, crop/ trim video.

you need to convert video first - ipod uses different format i think mpeg4 - you need to convert it first - there is lot conversion software around - handbrake is FREE DOWNLOAD - to find it just goggle it - it enables you to export downloaded movie to many different formats including ipod
just watch downloaded video first in video player and you'll see what you got
VLC Player - FREE DOWNLOAD at http://www.videolan.org will play just abt any type of video file you throw in it (yes supports mpeg-2 so you can watch yr dvds in it too) - supports ALL codecs and ALL operating systems
Real Player - FREE DOWNLOAD at http://www.real.com will play flash, windows, ram (Real's) and mpeg-2 (so you can watch yr dvds in it too) format
ALShow for windows will play same as VLC Player just abt any video you throw in it -
