Im from Wisconsin and there was a crime scene about two or three years ago in my backyard. A man was shot to death by a police officer. I've been wanting to enlarge my garage making it longer because its small. The government doesn't allow it. The garage has two bullet holes that were shot from the suspect. It went through the garage and out of it.They say its still a crime scene and the case is closed after the police officer committed suicide after posting bail. Is there any law I could use against the government to allow me to begin construction because the government has postponed this for two years. In that time I could of had a garage. Any suggestions on what I can do. I want to have as much back up info before talking to a district attorney.

Just hire a lawyer. Find a FORMER DA, they have the connections and should be able to ensure that any pending cases are disposed of so that you can get a permit.

I would go to a lawyer for a free consultaion, most have them. However, the crime was never solved; the lead suspect commited suicide. There for if by some fluke it was not the cop, the police would be in a bad spot if those bullet holes were gone.

I would definitly call several lawyers to get a feel about whats going on. You don't have to commit to anything, kind of like buying a car. See which lawyer says what and then go from there.

This sounds ficticious or you're leaving out some details.
But....Who am I to say.
How about hiring a lawyer.
That's what I would do.
