Any rock (including sedimentary rocks) can undergo metamorphism.

Some sedimentary rock examples are

Limestone becomes Marble
Shale becomes Slate
Sandstone becomes Quartzite

If a sedimentary rock is moved downwards under a tectonic plate, or is squashed, like when the European Continent smashed into the North American continent to form Pangea, then the sediments will get buried and folded deeper, and be subject to heat and pressure, then it may surface again,hundreds of millions of years later, as a different form of rock.
