* Associates degree - 2 years full time
* Bachelor's degree - 4 years full time (including the 2 years for the associates if you have one)
* MBA - a type of master's degree that takes 1-2 years after the bachelor's
* Doctorate - 3-7 years full time after the master's (some don't require a master's first)

Statistical studies show us that the more education you get, the more money you will earn over your lifetime.

As levels of employment:
* an associates degree generally prepares you to perform a series of tasks that make up an occupation. It's higher than the "on-the-job" worker but is still a worker level.

* a bachelor's degree prepares you for lower level management or entry level professional work.

* a master's prepares you for highly skilled professional work or upper level management.

* a first professional doctorate (MD, JD, DVM) prepares you for the skilled professions such as medicine, law, veterinary medicine, etc...

* a doctorate prepares you to teach those at the preceding levels and to conduct research that changes the course of knowledge.

Also you have to take into consideration who gave them these black belts. A rank of 7th degree black belt under Cesar Gracie means alot than just some guy. you should ask your trainer who awarded him his rank and look this guy up and see how much experience he has, then you will know if your instructor is the real deal.

BA is a basic Degree. MBA is a Masters [step up] and a Doctorate makes you a Doctor. [Big step up]
