i have this painting, but i dont even know who it is!

I don't think it's daVinci. I've seen the face though. I think it's a self portrait of a guy that's still alive that likes to paint in the "sailor" theme. Wish I could remember his name darn it!
I'll check back if it comes to me...

Found it!
I was wrong it turns out, but I knew it wasn't daVinci.
Even my wife thought it was da Vinci. Sigh...
Turns out it's a Rembrandt, and not a self portrait. It's titled "Portrait of a Bearded Man in Black Beret" and it was painted in 1654.

I think it is Leonardo DaVinci.
