my mom is relly protective and all but thats not the problem she doesnt think i should wear thongs and every1 does and she wount let me and it relly bugs me i tried askin y she wount let me and she says cuz i said so and that doesnt help alot idk wat 2 do
y wount she let me???? how can i convince her 2 let me wear them???

hahhaha, awh, my mom wont let me were them either, i just go out to the store and buy some and put them some were she cant find them, and if she does i just say there my frirends and they forgot them here. Anyways, there really unconfiterable, i dont understand why i wanted them in the fist place.lol

Sit down and talk to her seriously. Be reasonable and tell her why, specifically, this is important to you. You should also be willing to hear her concerns as to why she won't let you. Be open to what she says. You may not win this, but show your maturity, it will help in the long run.
There are other options to thongs. If you find that you can't win with your mother, find an alternative. What you wear is not the end of the world, especially when it's underwear.

Most parents are old fashioned and forget what it was like to be a teenager. There's nothing wrong with wanting to wear a thong like the other girls... and guys. But your mom forgets how she rebelled against HER mother in order to be "in" with the young crowd. Worse than some mothers' unreasonable hardheadedness, is the fear and guilt imposed on the young who are just entering their world, not mommy's world of the 1980s and '90s.

And you want to do it just because every one does? What if every one wants to jump from a cliff, would you do it just for that? Not because every one does something that means is OK, Why don't you analyze the reason your mom may be has? Because your reason to wear thongs is not too strong.
I'm wondering what the heck nationality has to do with this.

Well, she's ur mother and she knows best soo maybe u should ask her why she doesn't want u to wear thongs. She might think u are too young but then u should ask her why okk and be nice about it because u can't say everybody is wearing it and that u should wear it too.

Ask her what the reason really is. If she says cause I said so say that's not a really good reason and you'd really like to know what the problem is, just don't get mad and yell at her or anything.

my mom did the same thing to me when I was your age, so I went out and got them anyway. Then I realized that they arent as comfortable as everyone thinks, and I switched to boyshorts, now I am comfortable, and they are cute and I am happy. Besides, in the winter your butt will get cold (I'm not kiddin)

Not everybody wears them I find them disgusting and ridicules. Just sit her down nicely and tell her or if you do your own wash buy them when you are out with your friends and she will not know.
