I have pet sat a few pets now, and, I have found that i have really enjoyed it, and, I have made a lot of money from it! So, since Christmas is coming up, I was thinking that people will probably be out of town, and, that's a good chance for me to pet sit! So, I was going to make some flyers, but, right when I was about to type, I couldn't think of anything catchy, or, anything to really type. So, do you have any ideas or tips on how to do the flyers? It would be great if you could help me out on this! Thanks,

~ Cockatiel Lover!

Also, is there a good way to really attract customers? Who could I all give the flyers to? Thanks!

I know somebody who made a business out of pet sitting. Basically she would go over to peoples houses and feed the animals. It is not a stable income though. Most people will just ask a family member or neighbor to feed their pets.

I would do a yahoo image search for pet sitting and flyers and see what you come up with. I would see if you can hang or leave flyers at pet stores like petco and petsmart. You can look for free classifieds in your area, or even take an ad out. You could also give them to friends or people you have sat for. I saw some around my house a while back where the person had a little chart on it listing the different services they offered and what the price was, as well as maybe a "loyal customer" discount. You can have services such as walking, once or twice a day, feeding, just spending time. I think she said that she did walks for 30 or 60 minutes as well as just spending play time at home with the animal. Good luck!

post it at church bulletin boards, pet shops, travel agencies, and neighbourhood because they're close, and vetrinarians / animal clinics which aren't trying to offer the same service...actually, vets might get overloaded with orders during the holidays and winter travel time, and may need to sub-contract out to you !

Include your name or "company name", contact phone and e-mail address, make up a Facebook name and describe your service there, and include it on your flyer. Mention how much success you had with other pet-owners, and references on request. You might want to look into insurance in case you get more and more customers, especially if they're strangers, so you don't have to pay tons for things if things go wrong or if they try to blame you for things. When you get that, include it on your future flyers. It gives prospective customers confidence you're serious. Getting a bond is extra assurance too. But now you're still beginner, keep that for future plans. I've heard some people are making fair bit of money when they make themselves a little professional and officious at it.

Call the people you already sit for. If they don't need you they may have friends who do and will recommend you. Put up a notice at your church or in it's news letter. If you take your pets to a vet ask to put up a flyer there. There are several good pet sitting web sites but google pet sitters in your home town. Then you will know how they advertise and how much they charge. Get to know them and you may get referals when they have more clients than they can handle.

Try this website and then add your own personal details to it. http://www.gaycville.org/businesses/nancy.pdf
You should give the flyers out to your neighbors and people that you are friends with. Also some public places like grocery stores and banks will let you hang them up there. Just be sure to ask first and if you're not old enough to drive then make sure the customers don't live too far away from your house. Hope this helps!

I'd focus on your local neighborhood and use word-of-mouth to get the word out. People who do not know you or someone who can vouch for you, it is unlikely that they will take advantage of your service. I'd avoid trying to compete with slick advertising. Send an email with pictures to people who know you. They can forward this to a few friends who may be in need of a competent pet sitter. Make sure to charge enough money for your services. Believe it or not, a prestige price may give you more credibility.

There are many business that will "warehouse" pets, but you will most likely pay attention to the pets. If you are watching birds, this can be very important. Emphsize that you will pay special attention to each pet.

abode sitting is unquestionably whilst a guy or woman is going to a house on a similar time as the proprietors are out(holiday, artwork holiday, and so on) and make confident each little thing is positive. They take interior the mail, water the vegetation, and get the paper. How lots you ought to can charge relies upon on how lots your baby could ought to do and how vast the home is. If the guy has pets your baby could probable ought to take them for walks, feed them, and freshen up their messes. it unquestionably relies upon on the desires of the abode/puppy proprietor. i could say $5-15 an afternoon, relies upon on the situations. a baby that's approximately 9 or 10 ought to probable try this interest. a baby older than that ought to have not got any problem in any respect. Your baby only desires to have sufficient duty to maintain up the artwork for in spite of the incontrovertible fact that long he's employed.

Going away?
Fido needs somewhere to stay?
Well come on in, bring your pets in today!

You could go to places where there's a lot of people like grocery stores and put up a flier somewhere. Like at my local Shop Rite there's a whole board with fliers from the locals.
