my mom has been going through metapause and i dont know if this is a symptom...she has been bleeding heavy for the past 2 days and was spotting for the past week,,,,we think she might be going through the metapause but were not sure...now she has a headache and nautiouse and weak and she has to change her pad sometimes every 10 minutes...some of the rings look like rings the size of a prune,,any answer helps

Passing anything larger than the size of a quarter is not normal unless a woman has just had a baby (then the largest should be the size of a lemon). That, plus the fact that she is going through pads so fast, means she needs to be seen by a doctor as soon as possible. It could be any of a number of things... some common and easily fixed, some dangerous. Only a doctor can determine the problem.

Yes, this could be symptoms of menopause but because of how heavy the flow is and how often she's changing her pads she needs to see her gynecologist for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think is going on.
