I have a 3 year old Compac Laptop and for some reason lately I cant get the address bar to show up , the search bar is there but not the address bar. It was there before . I hate having to go to start and then run to get directly to a site.

Any suggestions?
PS- I cant load IE7 because the Laptop doesnt meet specs.

You haven't stated what operating system are you running or what version of IE are you using?

I'm assuming you're using IE 6 on Windows XP. Go to View --> Toolbars --> Address bar. Sometimes, the Address bar gets shoved/dragged to a corner. In that case, go to View --> Toolbars and make sure that the 'Lock Toolbars' option is unchecked. Then you will be able to drag the address bar back in position (This part is difficult to explain in words!)

Second Lastly, if nothing works...try re-installing your version of IE.

Lastly, have you done a virus/spyware/adware scan?

Hope this helped. Cheers.

Right click on an open space in the Tool bar and put a check in the box in front of "Navigation Bar".

try this, it sould do the trick,

in Control Panel, click Internet Options, on the Advaned tab, and on the bottom you sould see a sign that says
Restore Defaults

it may ask you restart the computer, do it and all sould be well
