check all the battery connections and make sure their in good shape, and clean ,that will cause that too happen, you could also have a battery going bad in it,id charge the battery back up or jump it off and take it to any parts store and have them check it,they can tell you if the battery is going bad in it,and its free for the test, good luck on it.

Funny, mine did that. Only I don't have a Ford Focus...but, I went and had the starter replaced and it quit for a few weeks then started doing it again. =D I have an automatic, but my gears are in the middle of my car instead of on the steering wheel. (I don't know if that made sense or not.) But, even now, if I push up on the gear shift with a little pressure and turn the key at the same time....it starts. Cars are something else, I'll tell you that. Tempermental little things they are.

Check to see if you left something on that could drain the battery. If you have no lights or radio try a jumpstart or battery charger. Then if it starts something may be on thats draining the battery.

Check battery connections, or replace / boost / recharge the battery.
