As glass in a green house entraps heat coming from the sun inside the greenhouse like so does the carbon dioxide exist in the upper layers of the atmosphere which is emitted from plants using carbon fuel to the heat coming to earth from the sun which makes the temperature on earth going up .

A physical greenhouse does not function by trapping infrared light and such. An actual greenhouse functions by blocking convection. Sunlight heats the air, trapped within.

The greenhouse effect is where gases in the atmosphere reflect some light energy back down to the surface after it was reflected up. The gases form a sort of energy blanket. Were it not for this effect the Earth would be a very cold place. It is critical for our existence.

The most prominent of these gases is water vapor accounting for almost all of the greenhouse effect.

There are other gases, aerosols, that have the opposite effect, allowing energy to escape or blocking it from reaching the surface in the first place.

The debate over humans affecting this balance rages on.

A term used to describe the heating of the atmosphere owing to the presence of carbon dioxide and other gases. Without the presence of these gases, heat from the sun would return to space in the form of infrared radiation. Carbon dioxide and other gases absorb some of this radiation and prevent its release, thereby warming the Earth. This is an effect analogous to what happens in a greenhouse, where glass traps the infrared radiation and warms the air.

The burning of fossil fuels adds carbon dioxide to the atmosphere, and therefore places the Earth at risk from an increase of this effect.

It happens when the too much heat and rays from the sun cannot escape from the atmosphere to go back to space because of too much amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

A hot summer day, sun comes through your window and heat traps inside your home & feels so stuffy hot at night, even night breeze blows & it is not hot outside.
