No way! College is more important than all of that!
I am all for it!
I have a question though, would the 16,17,18,19, 20, and 21 year olds whom have their driver's licenses have them taken away? Or would it just begin with the new drivers?

I would not oppose it, however how many of those under 22 would drink anyway?
I mean really, do they look at drinking age when they drink now? Some are good kids, some don't think the law applies to certain lifestyles.
It's a tough call, but I sure would agree to free education if all that was required was an age of 22 for drinking age.
Now, driving that is another question. Why would you want to tell a person they are not a legal adult until they are 22? They would lose their right to vote, to make their own decisions, would have to live at home, be dependent on their parents for 4 more years, and would not be given the opportunity to grow and learn those early adult life lessons early enough to recover from them.
Military service: Hmmmm I joined the Marines at 17, left at 18, and did just fine. I learned to drive at 16, got my license at 18, right after boot camp, and did not get into accidents. I did not drink until legally allowed to, and was designated driver because I was responsible.
How about this: Teach your kids to be responsible and do your very best at this, and they may not become terrors on the road, and may not become underage drinkers, and would still be able to go to college.... possibly on their own dime instead of depending on the US government to give them a free handout. College is not for everyone. Some cannot effectively complete high school, so the opportunity for higher learning may not be viable for their future, whereas the military can take those same people and give them purpose and a future to be proud of.

I don't think so but they would never raise the age for military service to 22. That would cripple our military in a time of war. Raising the age for driving, and drinking would cost the government money, as would footing the bill for everyone in the U.S. to have 4 years of college. It would never happen.

hm...I'd be fine with the drinking, voting, and military service ages, but driving...I don't know. I'm almost 16 and I can't wait to get my license. It's such a hassle for my parents to drive me places, both for me and for them, and my friends who can drive already are lifesavers. However, the gov't paying for 4 years of college would be amazing, but then I also might have to go where they want me to. :( hm... Yeah, I guess I would be opposed to it still. There are too many things that would have to be smoothed out.

Noope. Although, a lot of people don't go to college, so they would. I would be pissed about the no driving though. Drinking is easy enough to get away with :)And I agree with the one above me. College + no drinking??? I don't think so.

Yes, I would. Because it wouldn't be the government paying for college, it would be me, and everyone else's tax dollars.
Just like everything else we're paying for!
