well, the only reason people say crap about gay people is because gay people are just sexually confused perverts that want attention.

Gay bashing is wrong. But by legalizing Gay marriage you're opening up a can of worms. Why not allow a Man to marry his sister? Why not allow a Man to marry multiple women or even underage girls? Why not allow him to marry his pet dog? You see what happens when you try and redefine the religious sacrament of Marriage? Why change the law just for Gays? I say leave marriage the way it has been. Between a Man and a Woman. But I am for "Civil Unions" in which Gay couples get all the legal rights of a married couple.

The word "gay" is not considered profanity. If gay marriage or civil unions were enacted tomorrow, nation wide, nothing would happen. The country would move on. Gay couples who already live together would just have the option of making a legal commitment to each other. Marriages of heterosexual couples wouldn't be affected.

Yes, they send a message that gays are second class citizens.Marriage is a civil and not religious institution.Opponents of gay marriage are usually influenced by religion, which has no right to impose its values on society. Marriage for gays would regularize the institutions laws and policies., which presently discriminate against gays

No, even if gay marriage were legalized, there woudl still be people who felt the need to "gay" bash. Also, if you seriously believe that you are born that way and its not under any of your control, why would you be ashamed?
