OK consider the scenario - Wednesday night - England get knocked out. Thursday morning (before most people have gotten to work) McClaren gets sacked. Seems like the FA didn't even sleep on this one. Did they make their minds up before the Croatia game? Sounds likely to me. Ergo, it is disloyal to say the least.

The old county-dominated system of running the FA had its faults, for sure, but since the move towards a "more professional" board it has actually gone downhill.

I don't think that the FA is being disloyal at all. For England not to qualify for Euro 2008,no one can blame them for immediately firing the coach
