A female friend of my husbands is going out with a group of her cousins and brothers out to dinner. They all decided they would bring their girlfriends/boyfriends too. This friend is single and she felt sad to be the only one going alone. So she asked my husband to go along with her.
I think it will be much weirder for her to show up with a married male friend then to go solo. Thoughts?

My husband is very good friends with her brother. She often hangs out with her brother which is how my husband met her. They are not super good friends but they do talk.
I am the jealous type. Mostly though I just thought it was weird for her to even ask. I think it would be strange to show up with a guy who was married. If I was out with people and someone did I would find it strange and think she was dating a married man. Just wondering if it was just me.

I agree with you. Why did she ask your husband?

I think it is a little weird but it depends on circumstances. At one stage my married boss was my escort where partners were invited Neither of our partners wanted or could go so we went together.
Given that your hubby is a friend of her brothers she probably thought it was a good way to even the numbers. At least it is somebody that knows others hence will not monopolise her.
Personally I would show up solo in her case.

If you leave your car parked somewhere with the windows down and the keys in it do you think someone would be tempted to take it for a drive? Depends on the car AND the potential driver. Is the person a thief if they take your car for a drive? What if they don't bring it back?
You are incredibly trusting of both your hubby and his female friend so if that trust is real then my thoughts are: Let them go have a good time.
It's unconventional but definitely not "weird".
I would like to know your thoughts as it would appear you are not too worried. Perhaps your hubby is faithful to you without a doubt - that's sweet.

A female friend of your husband's? LMAO... this question is either all BS or you are one gullible woman in denial that hubby has a girlfriend.. let me get this right... she doesn't want to show up alone for a dinner where everyone else has a girlfriend or boyfriend... so how will she introduce your husband... "This is my married boyfriend"... or "I borrowed this guy so you would all think I have a man"??? You and your husband are weirding me out... so is his girlfriend.

uh, if that was my husband, first he would NOT be going, second, I would be getting to the bottom of why she even thought it appropriate to ask your husband to go with her... Surely she knows a guy who is single that she could ask to go or has a friend who could set her up with a guy for the night..

Yes I think it is weird that she asked your husband. I do not think it is appropriate for your husband to be her date.
Something fishy here. Why would she think that is ok! Nope my husband would not be going.

Naw, if they're friends that's all there's going on. She just wants someone she likes to be with her so that she's not lonely and so that she has a good time.
Don't lose sleep over this ;)

Yes and it is wrong. Shame on you to even think of doing that. What would his wife think about that?
