I just want to add to The_Figlet's answer that Open Office is a 100% free and legal substitute for Microsoft Office. The presentation program (Impress) allows you to save files in the PowerPoint format. It's ridiculous that some people are recommending that you go out and spend $150 on PowerPoint just to do a project.

First of all, while you don't have Powerpoint, does someone else you know? I mean does a friend have it on her computer, do either of your parents have it at work? does your school have a computer lab you can go to?
If not, there is the old fashion way. Poster board, glue, etc. It may be better in terms of having actual gears there and such. You sound like a smart girl. I'm sure you will figure out something creative that will be great.

i also would suggest using powerpoint. you can buy the student edition version of Microsoft Office for $150. you or your parents are going to have to eventually have to purchase the product because these are widely and most commonly used in the school systems today. especially Word.
if you cannot afford to get Microsoft Office, i suggest putting posters together... you could also bring some actual equipment in and pass it around the class if you want to.
good luck!

Try "visual" if you have all the accessories. Make it more like a "actual demo" and try to make interaction with your audience while doing the demo(free to accept questions while on demo)
done this style before and i found it effective hope it would be the same to you. Good luck!
