I prefer Krismas myself in honor of Santa (Kris Kringle) and the pagan celebrations the day was truly based on.

Probably about the same time as that ghastly fonespeek came in to vogue. It's characteristic of that new age lingo to sacrifice good grammar and proper spelling in pursuit of trendiness.

This always used to annoy me! but i'm afraid xmas has simply become a money spinner,and i like it now as xmas really does high light that fact!! Good Q...
