I never really knew...but as long as we still live, we shall maintain and live with our souls.
A soul is not that much different from a mind...they work together, but are 2 different things. You can live without a soul, but have your mind, or vice-versa...and you could be lifeless, but still living.......

after death, they either go to heaven, hell, or purgatory. i know you've heard of heaven and hell, but you might not have heard of purgatory. purgatory is where you work off your sins if you're going to heaven. you have to have a clean soul to go there. however, you can go directly to heaven, but only if you've had the annointing of the sick right before you died or you've confessed your sins to a priest. basically, you have to have no sins on your soul in order to get into heaven, but you can work them off to get there. however, if you're going to hell, you go directly there, no purgatory.

You mean when they leave our bodies? I think it depends on what you beleive. I beleive that they go to Heaven or Hell
