you pronounce the k unless you want to sound very uneducated. As't is mispronounced. As is Axe for Ask

Never heard it your way, as'd, although I have heard axed, which actually still has the K sound within the X. It may be evolving in your region, which is how pronunciation has changed over the centuries, like Wemyss pronounced as Weems. (That's a bit unfair because it's geographical. More common would be "iron," which many pronounce "iern" rather than "i-ron." )

Wow.... do people reply to you when you ask them "Can I as'd you a question"?. You definitely pronounce the "k" in "asked".
It it funny when people say "Can I ax you a question"? But the "as'd" is the funniest by far!!

No, it isn't as'd, it's "ask'd" - the "k" is pronounced but is very soft, I think the term for this sort of soft pronunciation, (like the "f" at the end of "prof", meaning "professor") is "aspirate(d)"

Yes, the k is pronounced. It's 'ask'd', not 'as'd' or 'ast'. It's not pronounced 'axed', either, like many mispronounce it.
