For the most part, I think they really mean it.

I can only speak from my own feelings, but if I say I don't give a crap, I do mean it.

Sometimes I really mean it. When I have had enough and am sick of something, I don't give a crap and that's just the way it is. lol

I don't think so, really. I think it is just a way out of frustration, which says "I need to vent, D@mn it!" So I'll just say, oh I don't really crap.
But the "crap" is destined to come back.
Maybe by then, the frustrated person will have figured out a way to deal with the overwhelming program, which bled him of resource and energy : namely, the craperie!
