Not sure about the questions intensions, but it is said that Jeremy Clarkson is in some way to blame for Rovers demise.Firstly i worked at a main agents for years including 22 courses product training at Oxford. The latest casualty looks like being Royal Mail, again the British way of ruining our heritage is by not buying the product or using the service and insisting it was crap anyway. One particular year EG Datsun got £30,oooooo,development from there goverment,Volkswaggon got £20,000000 and leyland got £1,000000,a vast difference. But the foreign market knew it could rely on the Brits to abandon everything for a super sleak mirrow. The sooner JC and his mongrels stop laughing at the working man, with there bargain basement is still motors priced at £50,000 plus and get a proper show the better. As for Leyland, its gone, and its a shame, becuase i our minds we see an Allegro or Montego, with no thought to the fact that they to would have moved forward. And to me it is and always will be a celebration,i served my time on moggies,mini,s,1100s and many more like Anglia,s,Viva,s and the good old threpenny bit fg. Truly is easy for the lotus type driver to knock the old MGB,s,but we were lotus jag and rover agents, and the expensive ones were unreliable.Never will i understand why English media for EG made a big thing of a recall on a Metro petrol cap,and nothing was said or reported of a certain cars front subframe falling out due to design. That was a Japanese one by the way,and the same applies for say a football match,a bit of trouble here is world news but even when there killing each other in the stands abroad, nothings said, except a fight broke out today at a vvillage cricket match. We are so good at banging ourselves, within one day on answers the discs were lost by RM and not TNT.So sorry we lost another company like Leyland, and i for one will rejoice when Top gear and all its phoneys are gone
Edit,i doubt spoiled boys will ever worry

I loved Top Gear tonight, I laughed loads. Especially the fact that a Rover Princess won the challenge!! My aunt and uncle had an Allegro - great stuff!

Should be good for a laugh, they did actually make a couple of good cars though, they were responsible for the series II XJ6/12 and the 18/22 wedge, had a couple of them, a real old mans car but reasonable to drive, we'll see what Clarkson has to say. If he doesn't agree, I'll delete this message!!!
Well who'd have guessed it? 18/22 won!

Maybe that's how long it would take Captain Slow to drive one to the studio on his own?
