and you see in the wee similar questions box, that someones already asked the exact same question, do you ask it anyway, out of sheer boredom?

It depends, if it was asked a long time ago then yes, if it was askd in the last couple of months then no if I find an answer that I'm happy with, if I can't find a desent answer, I'll then ask it anyway!

Nope, if someone already asked the same question, I just read their answers. This way I saved 5 points for another question that hasn't been asked.

Depends on the nature of the question. For instance if it were something like, "What is the density of gold?" then I wouldn't bother asking again as the answer ain't gonna change. If it's something like, "How much snow you got this year?" Then ask away cause that'll be different amounts.

No, what would be the point?
We all must be bored to some extent though to keep coming on here.
I find myself picturing the person I am reading about or responding to as if I really know them, like you do when you read a book. Sad or what!

yes i would ask it again, as it will be different people answering so you will have a better choice of answers, obviously you have to check the answers for the question asked the first time to compare

I click on them to see how long ago it was asked.. If long enough ago.. I'll ask it anyway... I think unique questions are running thin anyways... So we are on repeating mode now...
