Somewhat odd how Georgia, who didn't play well enough to make it to the SEC Championship game rates higher than the two SEC teams that did. And LSU beat VaTech by about 40, but VT is rated higher by the coaches? Oh well, I guess that's pay back for blowing the #1 ranking late in the season. USC and Oklahoma are better than these rankings, and Ohio State is not #3. They got the top 2 right, though.

LSU at 5 is a joke. Two loses to teams that aren't currently ranked? That's why I pay attention more to the coaches poll. 7 more like it. I would have WVU 1, as well. Pretty good as far as the coaches, although win or not, I wouldn't have arkansas in the top 25. You have Auburn, but not USF, which beat them, and the number 1 team in the country, and all their loses were against good teams?

Not surprising that it's split between Missouri and West Virginia, though I would agree with the sportswriters that there's no way Virginia Tech should be rated higher than LSU, given the thumping that VPI took in Baton Rouge (and the two having the same record).

out of the 2 polls, i like what the USA Today poll has put down for rankings. AP seems just a tad biased towards LSU (yes, i know they are a good team, but they lost and don't rightfully belong in the top 5 )

for the top 2, how can WVU be ahead of Mizzou in the espn poll when Mizzou beat the #2 team and WVU beat a #20 team? doesn't make any sense to me. Yes, I'm a tigers fan, but I just don't get it.

Oklahoma should be higher, they kicked Missouri's @$$ once this year and they're going to beat them again this week.
